Project: Drive 2 Digital Conference Video

It's very early days here and so I have recently completed my first serious freelance job filming and editing a video of the "Drive 2 Digital" Conference at BBC Broadcasting House for Digital Radio UK.

This was an absolute privilege as did I not only get to work at the BBC for a day (every young media enthusiast's dream), I also was lucky enough to see the brand new Newsroom. Now the largest in Europe.

It was a really interesting conference that addressed the advancement of Digital Radio and DAB focusing particularly on getting it into cars. It also featured the launch of D-Love, Digital Radio UK's new puppet spokesman who you may have seen on adverts currently being played on BBC television.

The conference featured talks from important figures from the likes of Ford, Citroen, Halfords etc. as well as interviews with special guests James May and Jo Whiley. Tim Davie, currently the acting Director-General of the BBC, also attended.

So, after a day of filming which included some technical hiccups and a frantic few evenings editing to meet the deadline, the video is now being played in conferences at Digital Radio UK. I thank Ford Ennals and the whole team for trusting me to get the job done and greatly appreciate the opportunity.
